Best wishes to Llion Iwan

Llion Iwan departs Cwmni Da today after 6 years with the company, to start a new role with S4C. Cwmni Da wishes to send our heartfelt thanks to Llion for his invaluable contribution since 2019, both as Managing Director and before that as Director of Content. Llion has been key to the company’s success during this period, helping to attract multi-genre commissions from several broadcasters, and acting as the driving force behind three international co-productions. Under Llion’s leadership, Cwmni Da has gone from strength to strength, and he leaves the company in a healthy position.   
 
The Cwmni Da Board paid tribute to Llion in a letter of gratitude which was shared with the workforce by one of the company directors, Phil Williams: “Llion has been an inspiring leader, always ready to think creatively about new ways of working and about new places to take Cwmni Da.  His guidance and ideas have enabled the company to develop into new areas in Wales and internationally.”   
 
The board is also delighted with the appointment of Bethan Griffiths as Interim Managing Director. Bethan joined in the tributes to Llion on behalf of the company. “Your leadership has been invaluable for us over the past six years, particularly during the challenges caused by the covid pandemic. We, as a company, send our appreciation and our best wishes to you in your new role. We want to thank you for the legacy that you have left behind here at Cwmni Da.”
